With the use of either a thermal fusion iron or an ultrasonic fusion tool, individual strands of keratin tipped human hair are attached to your own hair in approximately 1/4" sections. Fusing starts from the lower nape area with horizontal rows and works up to the crown and the sides. The process generally takes between one and a half to two hours, depending on the thickness and length of your own hair.
